This is a clever, quick-and-easy, dice-rolling game with an interesting theme. Obviously, luck is a factor, but to win, you'll have to know how to use the rolls you get to make your strategy work. The components are nice but are desktop-published quality in a flimsy box.
From the publisher:
It is 400 AD and the Roman occupation of Britannia is drawing to a close. Most of the Legions have been withdrawn. The system of Roman fortresses and roads is only thinly defended, particularly in Cambria. Across the sea, Hibernian warriors prepare to invade…
Cambria is a fast and aggressive game of siege combat. To win, the players must make skillful use of their die rolls to surround and capture Roman fortresses. Cambria combines the simple, clever mechanics of a European-style game with the direct player conflict of an American-style game.
One 9x11-inch gameboard, 25 plastic cubes, 23 wooden disks with labels attached, 1 wooden pawn, 2 dice, English rules.
Note: As usual, we will pack your order very carefully, but this box is so flimsy, it may already have a few dents and dings. If that is not acceptable to you, don't buy this game.
